Crowns are required for teeth that are broken, worn or have portions destroyed by tooth decay, and for which there is insufficient tooth strength remaining to hold a filling. A crown is essentially a tooth-shaped “cap” that is placed over a tooth, covering the tooth to restore its shape, size, strength, and improve its appearance. Crowns, when cemented into place, fully encase the entire visible portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line.
Thanks to what’s called CAD/CAM technology, we can scan your teeth and create durable, well-fitting crowns at our office in the same day. What previously took several days and multiple office visits can now be completed in just an hour or two, and with the precision that your smile demands. With only one office visit, you’ll walk away with a beautiful, healthy, restored smile.
